Uniforms and ration books, with letters and garments belonging
to Land Girls who worked in Northumberland during the war,
many now still living in the area.
beautiful christening robes, children's toys and a tiny wooden
crib with finely crafted Northumbrian cot quilt.
examples of proggy and hooky mats made by women to cover their
cold flagstone floor and excellent examples of early 19th
& 20th century handywork,
There are also ornate buttons, thimbles and old fashioned
spectacles, along with early 20th century photographs of people
still in the region today.
